Invoixca generates high-quality PDF invoices using a client-side rendering engine. This ensures your invoice data stays private and PDF generation is fast.
PDF Quality and Format
All invoices are rendered as A4 (210mm × 297mm) PDF documents. The rendering engine uses vector-based text and precise layout calculations to ensure crisp, professional output at any zoom level or print resolution. The typical file size for a standard invoice (logo, 5-10 line items) is between 150KB and 500KB.
Client-Side Generation
Unlike many invoicing tools that send your data to a server for PDF rendering, Invoixca generates PDFs entirely in your browser. This means your invoice data (including client names, financial amounts, and bank details) never leaves your device during the generation process. The PDF is created using a combination of jsPDF and html2canvas-pro for accurate visual rendering.
Download Process
When you click "Generate PDF," the rendering engine captures the invoice preview, converts it to a PDF document, and triggers an automatic browser download. The file is named using your invoice number (e.g., INV-001.pdf). If you need to regenerate the PDF, simply click the button again — there is no additional credit charge for re-downloading the same invoice.
Printing
The generated PDFs are optimized for printing with proper margins, color profiles, and text rendering. For best print results, use your browser's or PDF reader's "Actual Size" or "100%" print option rather than "Fit to Page" to maintain the intended layout proportions.
Email Delivery
Pro and Business plan users can send invoices directly to clients via email. The system attaches the generated PDF to a professionally formatted HTML email. The email subject includes your business name and invoice number for easy client reference. Delivery tracking confirms when the email has been sent.
File Storage
If you are logged in, a record of your invoice is stored in your dashboard for future reference. The dashboard allows you to view, re-download, resend, and track the payment status of all your invoices. Anonymous users (not logged in) should save their downloaded PDF locally, as the invoice is not stored on our servers.
